Development potential:
Hartley Planning Consultants advises clients on the development
potential of land or buildings with a view to maximising
the value of their property. We undertake site appraisals
to identify the various development options available,
and assess whether proposals would accord with national,
regional and local planning policy. |

Rural
Planning: We have a particular
expertise in rural planning following extensive experience
in this field. Regular commissions include - country estate
land asset reviews; rural housing schemes and residential
conversions; managed workspace either as new build or
as conversion; live-work units.
We have extensive
experience in handling sites located in protected landscapes
e.g. National Parks, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty
(AONB), and Green Belt. |

Local Development Frameworks
(LDF) and Development Plans: The practice advises
various clients on regional planning, development plan
and local development framework issues relating to land
and property. This involvement includes the preparation
and submission of written representations and negotiations
with Local Planning Authorities and Regional Assemblies,
monitoring progress of the Regional Spatial Strategies
and LDFs, and appearance at Examination in Public/Public
Inquiry as necessary. |

planning: Master
Planning and development briefs are experiencing a resurgence
on the back of the new planning system. Hartley Planning
Consultancy advises clients on the formulation of master
plans and development briefs, and also engaging with public
consultation procedures to ensure the client's land potential
is maximised. |

Regeneration:
Unlocking the full development potential of brownfield
sites is a very defined skill. Our practice has extensive
experience in ensuring the regeneration of such sites
for a variety of uses.

built environment and protected landscapes: Many of
our projects require an appreciation and understanding
of the built historic environment. We have specialist
expertise in relation to the preparation, submission and
negotiation of applications for Conservation Area Consent
and Listed Building Consent. |
