PROJECTS - EXAMPLES INCLUDE
Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA): Hartley Planning Consultants are the retained planning consultancy advising the NDA on its range of non-commissioned assets. This work has included advice on potential (re) development of a variety of sites from residential uses to commercial uses to quarries.

Leighton Hall Home Farm, Lancashire: We have secured planning permission for 1400 sqm office development, including conversion of listed buildings and new build at a very sensitive site in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Aldourie Castle, Loch Ness: Our practice is involved in providing planning advice on a significant multi-million pound leisure based scheme to convert the Listed Aldourie Castle to holiday apartments and to provide 76 new build holiday cottages within the Aldourie Castle Estate. The castle lies at the heart of a 400 acre estate on the south side of Loch Ness near to the village of Dores.
Hartley Planning Consultants are the retained planning consultancy to Rural Concepts Group, the owner and developer of the Aldourie Estate.

Broughton Hall Estate: Hartley Planning Consultants are the retained planning consultancy to Broughton Hall Estate. The Grade I Listed Hall is set within 3000 acres of parkland. The Estate's historic buildings have been converted to high quality office accommodation (9,300 sqm) at the highly successful and award winning Broughton Hall Business Park. Examples of work for the Estate include: Estate (asset) Strategy - setting each estate asset in a planning policy context and providing advice and priorities for action; LDF submissions for the business park site, for an affordable housing site and for a significant education and enterprise facility; reuse of redundant farm buildings.

Kirklees Park: This current project will secure the effective re-use of a magnificent grouping of farm buildings on a country estate. Five of the buildings are of a high grade Listing and all lie within designated Green Belt.

Helmsley Masterplanning: Our practice is providing advice to Northminster Properties Ltd on a masterplanning process being run as part of the Renaissance Market Town process for the town of Helmsley. The site is of high strategic importance and a mixed use scheme is being advocated on behalf of the client.
